Yours for the day - We only host one event daily, YOURS! Rental of the Pitman VFW allows for your use of the facility, from as early as 8am, on the day of your rental, with events concluding as late as 11pm.

FACILITY: Rental will include use of the event hall, women's and men's bathrooms, coat closet, bar room, commercial kitchen and parking lots.
TABLES & CHAIRS: The Pitman VFW makes available, (150) folding chairs, as well as, (6) 6' and (16) 8' rectangular folding tables, for use within the building.
CLEANING MATERIALS: Cleaning supplies, instructions and checklist are provided.
RENTAL OF THE HALL IS ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS: Your requested date can only be confirmed with the receipt of your executed contract and deposit. Until the deposit and contract have been received by the Pitman VFW, the date remains open for rental and WILL be rented to the party whose requisite paperwork and deposit are received first. Weekend dates and holidays book months in advance, so inquire early and get that paperwork in ASAP! We highly recommend booking as far out as possible.
RENTAL PERIOD: Access to the venue can be as early as 8am on the day of your rental. Events MUST conclude by 11pm. Clean-up and vacation of premises must be complete by 11:59pm. Failure to conclude by 11pm, could jeopardize future rentals.
HALL ACCESS: A member of Pitman VFW Post #6469 will meet you at an agreed upon time, on the day of your rental. Building access and key will be provided at that time. Together, with your liaison, you will review the general rules of use, decorating guidelines and do a building walk through.
IS INSURANCE REQUIRED? Yes, it is. The National VFW dictates that a one-day general liability insurance policy be purchased for your event.

If insurance is not provided prior to your rental date, your event will be cancelled and any fees paid, forfeited.
We're afraid not. The party prior to and following yours will have use of the facility on those days, making early set-up or delayed clean-up unavailable.
Indeed it is! Your event will be comfortable whether you rent in the heart of summer or during the chill of winter.

The use of items that pierce (i.e. push pins, nails, staples, etc), strong adhesives or tapes, and Velcro are not permitted, nor are items that interfere with the safety of building occupants or fire safety code.
No. Open flame is NOT permitted on property, with the exception of sterno under chafing dishes and birthday candles on cakes (no sparklers). Note: Open flame to dispose of balloon decor is NOT permitted. Plan alternative means for balloon removal/disposal.

The Pitman VFW has vehicle parking available within its two adjacent lots. Additional parking needs can be met through on-street parking, per designated signs and within Borough and state rules. Please be courteous of our neighbors when parking on the street.
Smoking (to include vaping) is not permitted in the building. All cigarette waste is to be disposed of in designated receptacles only, and not left on the ground nor deposited in trash or recycling cans.
YOUR EVENT, YOUR WAY: Your rental is for the use of the facility only. We do not provide food, drink, alcohol (beer taps/cash bar/bartenders also not provided), entertainment, decor, cookware, paper products, etc. You are free to use any source or vendor you choose or none at all. You or your selected food vendor/caterer can make items off premises and bring them in or prepare your feast in our on-site commercial kitchen.
We just ask, no matter how you party, that you treat our facility with pride and leave it in the same great shape and clean condition it was in when you first arrived.
